Proud alumni interested in supporting their local chapter can start a Foundation Chapter Fund for scholarships, educational areas of chapter housing, professional conference registrations, DEI programming, drug and alcohol awareness training, and service initiatives!
In an effort to address individual chapter needs, the Phi Sigma Rho Foundation launched its Chapter Funds Program in 2021. This program was designed to fulfill the wishes of members of local chapters to support the educational and leadership needs of their local chapter. This program will give potential donors the opportunity to restrict their financial gifts to the educational programs and charitable efforts of their chapter while also receiving a charitable tax deduction.
To set up your chapter’s fund or to learn more, contact the Phi Sigma Rho Foundation Chapter Funds Chair, Kara Kessling. As an initial step, a local advisory committee will need to be established through a letter to the Foundation via email stating the names of the local advisory committee and the chapter it will benefit. Further, an agreement to the terms of the program must be executed between the Foundation and the local advisory committee. The Foundation will not restrict any funds without an agreement in place.
