Hey Phi Rho!
Thank you for your interest in applying for the Phi Sigma Rho Foundation Spring 2012 Leadership Scholarship. The mission of the Foundation is to promot social responsibility, personal integrity and lifelong enrichment for the members of ΦΣΡ. One of the many ways the Foundation serves its purpose is to help you by awarding scholarships. Foundation Scholarship money may be used only for tuition and fees and is payable directly to the university.
The Leadership scholarship rewards leadership not only within Phi Sigma Rho, but within all aspects of life.
Now, we at the Foundation get a lot of questions about who's eligible for a scholarship, so here's the final word. Any initiated member, active or alumna, who is currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university (read: you don't have to be an engineer!) is eligible to apply. However, due to conflict of interest policies, no member of the Foundation Board of Directors, Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee or any Foundation volunteer is eligible to apply.
If you're thinking "I'm a great leader, what next?" Well, that's fairly easy...just follow the steps below:
- Fill out the application in its entirety. There's even a checklist on the back page to help you out.
- Send your entire application packe to the Foundation at the address on the application by May 19, 2012.
- The Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee will decide the winners by July 6, 2012, and they will be announced at the LEP conference July 20-22. Those not attending the Conference will be notified via e-mail, and scholarship certificates will be mailed to recipients. The winners will also be publicized on the Foundation website, and through other Foundation communications.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us!
Best of luck with all your studies! Did you do something scholarly today?

P. S. So far the Foundation has given away fifteen $500 scholarships to sisters. I would say extraordinary sisters, but all Phi Rhos are extraordinary, so I guess these girls are just like you and me...well...except $500 richer! ;)
