The Foundation Scholarships are now available! The mission of the Foundation is to promote social responsibility, personal integrity and lifelong enrichment for the members of Phi Sigma Rho. One of the many ways the Foundation serves its purpose is to help you by giving away annual scholarships. Foundation Scholarship money can be used only for tuition and fees and is payable directly to the university. $1,000 Merit, Leadership, and Memorial Scholarships will be offered to be used for the 2016-17 academic year.
What constitutes merit? If you’re a good student, a leader with Phi Sigma Rho and work to make your community a better place, then you’ve got merit. That in itself makes you a great candidate for a merit scholarship.
The Leadership scholarship rewards leadership not only within Phi Sigma Rho but within all aspects of life. A high GPA is not a requirement for the Leadership scholarship, but a minimum of 2.75 is necessary.
- The applications are available on the Foundation's website on the Scholarship Page.
- Fill out the application in its entirety. There’s even a checklist on the back page to help you out.
- Send your entire application packet to the Foundation at the e-mail address shown on the application by March 1, 2016.
- The Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee will decide and notify the winners by May 15, 2016, and they will be officially announced and presented at the 2016 Phi Sigma Rho National Conference. The winners will also be publicized on the Foundation website, and through other Foundation communications.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us!
Best of luck with all your studies! Did you do something scholarly today?
P.S….So far the Foundation has given away twenty-two $500 or $1,000 scholarships to sisters. I would say extraordinary sisters, but all Phi Rhos are extraordinary, so I guess these girls are just like you and me...well...except $500 or $1,000 richer ;) Check out our past Scholarship Winners to learn about them and what they had to say about Phi Sigma Rho!
